Articulation of the Unspoken

The Harrowed Shore

·

1–2 minutes

Desire is the catalyst for despair,
A fleeting wavelength of hope,
Crashing in tidal waves.

Forlorn in the belly of circumstance,
Smiling our way through the underworld of the living.
We wander through the breach.

The wind traces our features,
And suspends our masks in the trees.
Where silence is never silent.

The shadows speak,
In the land of many faces,
Building a composite.

Yearning at the precipice.
See me clearly.
Marooned on this harrowed and beautiful shore.

Join me here; I will be your island.
