About Me

I’m a late-diagnosed person who is AuDHD (autism and ADHD) and still learning to express my internal world.

This blog, The Transmuted Word, is a way to help make sense of my experiences. I am attempting to turn experience into language, and transform struggle into understanding. The idea is for the noisy and vivid inner world I navigate to become more accurately reflected via self-expression.

For most of my life, I sensed that something was different. I often felt like an outsider looking in – an alien born on the wrong planet. I was deeply observant and emotionally intense. I felt overwhelmed by things others seemed to move through with little effort. But it wasn’t until adulthood that I finally discovered why.

Here, I share pieces of my journey through late diagnosis, burnout, healing, and identity. I reflect on growing up without a proper diagnosis. I contemplate unraveling old patterns. I finally begin the work of living in alignment with who I really am. But this isn’t only a blog about being a neurodiverse person. It’s a space for curiosity, creativity, and reflection. It invites deep dives into whatever resonates. Whether that’s music, memory, literature, or the mysteries of being human.

Thanks for being here.
